The Top Five Things to Do In Minocqua Wi
Minocqua was founded in 1889. Minocqua is located in Oneida County which is in the northern part of Wisconsin. Minocqua, WI is a nice place to visit during the summer months. I always enjoy heading to the Northwoods. There are so many enjoyable things to do in the Minocqua area.
Minocqua, Wi has so much to do and to see. Minocqua, WI has grown quite a bit since I was a young child. Minocqua has a large variety of shops downtown along with excellent restaurants both downtown and around the Minocqua area. Minocqua has wonderful hiking trails, biking trails, and even trails for horseback riding. There are quite a few different miniature golfing available as well as golf courses, go-karting, and much more to offer.
1. Minocqua Water Sports
There are so many different lakes in Minocqua, Wi to enjoy a variety of different water sports. If you enjoy tubing, water skiing, jet skiing, knee boarding, or any of the other water sports, you will find plenty of awesome lakes to go to. Everywhere you look, there is a lake that you can enjoy any of these water sports.
2. Minocqua Fishing
Fishing is awesome in Minocqua, WI. There are so many different lakes that have a tremendous amount of fish to be caught. You can enjoy catching perch, walleye, muskey, trout, or a number of any other fish on any of the lakes in Minocqua, WI.
3. Minocqua Aqua Bats Water Ski Show
Minocqua, WI has an excellent water ski show right downtown. You can see this water ski show every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday beginning in the middle of June through the middle of August.
They have a free donation during the middle of the show. They have some awesome ski jumps and skits. If you haven’t seen this show, you must see this for a free night of entertainment. They also have a concession stand available there as well for food and drinks.
4. Scheers Lumberjack Show
There is a lumberjack show held in Woodruff which is just a mile outside of Minocqua. This is a great place to take the kids to. They will enjoy this incredible show. The lumberjack shows are done Tuesdays through Saturdays. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays the shows are done in the evenings at 7:30. Wednesday and Fridays the shows are at 2:00 in the afternoon. The shows are shown June through late August.
These shows are awesome. They are filled with entertainment and comedy. These shows are geared for all ages. The shows can be seen rain or shine. They are outside but have some covered seating available. First come first serve for seating arrangements. The shows last about an hour.
Children 3 and under are free. The prices range anywhere from $7.95 for ages 4 through 11 years old, $8.95 for seniors, and $9.95 for ages 12 and older. You will enjoy seeing the Scheers Lumberjack Show in Woodruff, WI.
5. Lake Tomahawk Snowshoe Baseball
Snowshoe Baseball is done in Lake Tomahawk, WI. Lake Tomahawk is known at the Snowshoe Baseball Capital. Baseball teams get together and play baseball during the summer months wearing snowshoes.
The games are played in Lake Tomahawk which is just outside Minocqua. The snowshoe baseball games are played every Monday evenings from late June until Labor Day weekend. They also have a game on the 4th of July. Be sure to bring the kids. They will enjoy these games. They also have a concession stand there for food and drinks.
