Pack the items you will taking with you as early as possible. If your abuser watches your every move, consider rearranging a drawer or two in your dresser. Place the times you will be taking in those drawers so you will be able to grab them in a hurry.

 

4. Save Money

Save as much money as you can. Most domestic violence safe houses will provide with you basic necessities such as shampoo and toothpaste, but your will need money once you leave the safe house.

 

5. Do Not Look Back

Once you have escaped your abusive relationship, do not look back. Some abusers are able to get help and stop being abusive; most can not and will always be abusive. You have gotten out alive; do not go back to a situation that could kill you.
