Grapevine Canyon is 7 miles from Laughlin and offers a 1-mile hike through the desert chasm. During the spring and summer months, small waterfalls and wild grapevines can be found in the canyon’s stream bed.

The trek will bring hikers face to face with 1,000-year-old Native American rock carvings and inscriptions known as petroglyphs. The mountain peak that presides over Grapevine Canyon is know as Spirit Mountain and it is sacred to the Yuman tribes of the lower Colorado River region.

London Bridge Jet Boat Tours

London Bridge Jet Boat Tours

London Bridge Jet Boat Tours is the oldest jet boat tour company in Laughlin, Nevada. The tours offer a 58-mile ride down the Colorado River, passing London Bridge and Topock Gorge, which boasts volcanic rock faces, emerald waters, and a number of ancient Native American petroglyphs.

The tour stops midway to allow guests to explore London Bridge area restaurants, shops and other attractions. The full round-trip tour lasts approximately six hours. Tours run from February to November.

Big Bend State Recreation Area

See Around Laughlin

Big Bend State Recreation Area offers sweeping views of the Colorado River and activities such as swimming, fishing and camping. The park offers 24 RV sites, a 2-lane boat ramp and 4 miles of hiking trails. RV sites have water hookups, tent pads, barbecue grills and fire pits.

Guests may not reserve camping or RV space; the park camping grounds are on a first-come-first-serve basis. There are also picnic sites along the Colorado River’s shoreline. Guests with pets must keep them leashed at all times. Nearby historic sites include the Davis Dam, which is 10 miles away, and the historic mining area of Oatman.
