California has it all from big cities, beaches, mountains, forests, and deserts. There is something for everyone in California.

1. Disneyland

Disneyland is a California favorite since it first opened on July 17, 1955. It has much to offer from its rides, restaurants, and shopping. Divided up in 7 lands it has something for everybody.

 

2. Knotts Berry Fram

Just a very short trip north of Disneyland is Knott's Berry Farm. Knott's has lots to offer from their famous fried chicken dinner, to their 40 rides. All in an old west ambiance.

 

3. Mission Santa Barbara

Founded by Padre Fermin Lasuen of the Franciscan order on December 4, 1786. It's the only Mission in the California chains of Mission to have 2 bell towers.

 

4. The Redwood Forest

Home of the giant Sequoia Sempervirens, an evergreen tree that con live up to 1,800 years. Redwoods can grow to 380 feet. The redwoods cover most of the California cost, but southern California where there is not enough rain to support them.

 

5. Death Valley

The driest area in North America with an average 2.36 inches of rain a year. It nearly covers 3,000 square miles of the California Mojave Desert. Death Valley holds the record for the highest art temperature in the world at 134F on July 10, 1913.
