Feng Shui Cures
If you or a loved is experiencing a prolonged period of unhappiness that doesn’t seem to have any cause, the energy in your home may be the silent culprit.
Feng shui, the ancient Chinese art involving energy flow, offers solutions to overcome subtle energy blocks believed to steal a person’s health and vitality in the home and workplace.
Crystals
Crystals avert and eventually dissolve negative energy. According to the practice of feng shui, crystals can deflect “poison arrows,” corners where two walls meet, forming negative energy arrows that aim directly at you while you sit or sleep. These poison arrows can be especially troublesome when located near your work space or opposite your bed.
Hanging crystals from the ceiling above poison arrows can dispel bad energy. If you rest or work in a small room, a crystal that is approximately 1 ½ inches in diameter will do the trick. If you work or rest in a large room, a crystal that is at least 2 inches or larger in diameter should be used.
Crystals also help as feng shui cures for stagnant energy that builds up in long narrow hallways. For this, hang a large crystal in the middle of a hallway to disperse the negative energy. If you don’t feel a change in the energy of the hallway after a while, move the crystal to another spot until you achieve the desired result.
Mirrors
Mirrors can be used to deflect external influences that send negative energies toward your home. For example, feng shui practitioners believe the corner of another building may be shooting a poison arrow at your home, or you may live very close to a landfill, funeral home, cemetery, hospital or other continuous negative-energy source that ultimately affects your happiness and health.
You can place a mirror directly between you and that place. Make sure that the mirror is at least 6 inches in diameter. Place it either in a window or against the wall of your home, facing out at the place that you want to deflect.
Wind Chimes
Wind chimes can be used as a feng shui cure to lift your mood and energy. Hang a wind chime made of five hollow tubes from the center of your bedroom from a red string to help infuse you with happiness and vitality.
